Who knows. I think I just lose the nerve to blog. I decided that I didn't want to continue to let time pass without documenting my life in this way. So I think I will reflect back on what I have accomplished this year so far:
1. I knitted my first pair of socks
2. I have completed many smaller knitted projects for coworkers having babies. (I didn't photograph them because I wasn't part of Ravelry yet. Oh well--but they turned out adorable.)
3. I joined Ravelry and it has turned my knitting world upside down (in a good way.)
4. I am a more confident knitter
5. I learned my oldest son has ADD and have been dealing with that ordeal.
6. I have loved getting to know some local yarn shops and spend time learning processes that I wouldn't have known on my own.
7. I love listening to podcasts and have become an avid listener to all the favs--Cast On, Knit Picks, Its a Purl, Man, and most of the other knitting podcasts that are out there.
8. I am addicted to the TV show "Lost"
9. I have just completed the first scrapbook of my youngest son's newborn photos (He's now 5--what does that tell you?)
10. And finally, we have become an animal "rescue" of sorts--and this is our most recent permanent resident--Stuart--the fattest, most self confident cat I have ever met. He picked us to be his new family. We actually had no say in the matter. And what a character he is! Did I mention he was fat?

Nice family, it,s the creativity that keeps us going. Memories are placed in everything that we design.
Stuart is a very regal fellow! and you knit socks! yay! The first one is always challenging, but sooo satisfying. Mine holds a special place in my heart, even though I don't wear them much because they are big and a tad scratchy...ahem.
